Through the Eyes of a Gamer
Jul 18, 2008 - 12:42 AM - by Abvolt
Cheating is a major problem in online video games, but expecting me to have other programs installed just to be able to play is dim-witted, especially when such programs are always running, despite if I’m playing the game or not. One of the worst offenders is FPS games which use the Punkbuster anticheat program, which makes sure you’re not a cheater by always running and scanning your memory, even if you’re not playing the game. This means your systems resources are slowly being eaten away at which is certainly not something a gamer would want. It’s not just FPS games with anticheat which require other tools running to work though. Games which demand I download and install Gamespy to play... [Read More]

News - Microsoft is cutting its Xbox 360 price
Jul 10, 2008 - 1:14 AM - by Abvolt
Microsoft’s plan to cut $50 off the price of its Xbox 360 Pro video game console is all over the web. In general, Microsoft says that it continuously cuts the costs of the components in its consoles and passes on the benefits to consumers in the form of price cuts. It never describes its plans more specifically than that... [Read More]

Crysis Warhead

Crysis Warhead - first look
How do you top the critically acclaimed launch of Crysis, a sci-fi shooter so genre-pushing, so technologically ahead of the curve, that it was awarded PC Gamer’s Game of the Year for 2007? For developer Crytek, the answer isn’t to churn out a quickie sequel - even though Crysis’ cliff-hanger ending surely demands one Now.
Oh by the way I just have to tell you that I own the first in this series and it's fabulous warhead is a much anticipated FPS I know it will live up to it's predecessor, Lets take a little read on this matter.

The perception that its CryEngine 2 tech won’t run on any rig less powerful than a Cray supercomputer.... [Read More]
